Lindblom Eagle Update 12.14.2007

12.14.07 The deadline to apply to Lindblom is December 21, 2007. Application instructions are detailed under the Office of Academic Enhancement. Remember, Lindblom is also seeking 7th graders for its Academic Center, opening for the 2008-2009 school year. Thank you to Sheila White (Lindblom parent) for this reminder.

12.14.07 Please view the Lindblom Math and Science Academy Website. The Eagles and Lady Eagles basketball teams have begun their season. Come and cheer the Lady Eagles Saturday, December 15, when they swoop into the confines of CICS-Longwood 1309 W. 95th St. (95th near Vincennes)

12.14.07 Special recognition to Beverly Wilson Ellison, Sr '76. Despite her unplanned inconvenience, BWE has continued to innovate within the the Class of 1976 Yahoo Group. Beverly has continued to utilize her artistic gifts, preparing birthday celebration webpages. The class is currently compiling a calendar to prepare for 50th birthday bash next year on August 15, 2008. It is an innovation that will probably be duplicated in the future. 12.13.07 - LAA Board Secretary Lovetta Houston '83 requests Lindblom items, such as t-squares, duffel bags, tee-shirts, lettermans' jackets, trophies. Please notate whether the items are donations or on loan.

12.13.07 Kudos to Alan Mather and the Lindblom Math and Science family for the new LAA office. The LAA is officially located in room 126 on the south end of the school (near the greenhouse and 62nd street entrance) .

12.13.07 The LAA Board welcomes Andre Kellum '88 as its new Vice President. Andre will remain active as Membership Chair. Please see the About page for the current Board of Directors.

12.13.07 Please give warm accolades to our outgoing board member, Derek Burns '86, who is leaving the LAA board after two years of service. Derek will remain active with the Class of 86 reunion activities. Thank you Derek, for your service.
